He is a Kenyan communications specialist, newsman and author with a 36-year career spanning Africa and four other continents working for Reuters, British and US newspapers, UK television and radio. For 24 years he’s written The Spectator's Wild Life column. He has had a lifelong passion for environmental conservation, has a very wide network of contacts across Africa and sees the continent as the right place to be, with a great future. A graduate of Oxford University and London’s School of Oriental and African Studies, at home he ranches cattle on Kenya’s Laikipia plateau.
